In the life of the Benefactor

Step into the enigmatic world of the elusive benefactor and uncover the sacred secrets of his most inner thoughts.

Warning, these philosophical conundrums can get hairy:

A mullet

is a haircut for someone who is indecisive. Someone who can't decide if they want long hair or short hair so they go halfsies.

Meanwhile,

wearing a beard with no mustache is like wearing pants with no shirt

In the life of the Benefactor

Step into the enigmatic world of the elusive benefactor and uncover the sacred secrets of his most inner thoughts as we navigate the corridors of forbidden knowledge together.

Cognitive dissonance

is the result of the brain protecting itself from a bit of truth that would be so damaging, it would shatter that persons reality. So they ignore or pretend it doesn't exist. You're own personalized form of delusion that only extends to that bit of sharp truth.

The industrialist

was horrified to find the fisherman lying beside his boat, smoking a pipe. - Why aren’t you fishing?, said the industrialist. - Because I have caught enough fish for the day. - Why don’t you catch some more? - What would I do with them? - Earn more money. Then you could have a motor fixed to your boat and go into deeper waters and catch more fish. That would bring you money to buy nylon nets, so more fish, more money. Soon you would have enough to buy two boats even a fleet of boats. Then you could be rich like me. - What would I do then? - Then you could sit back and enjoy life. - What do you think I’m doing now? ― John Lane, Timeless Simplicity: Creative Living in a Consumer Society

Competition

only works to drive an industrial revolution and to feed profit through a philosophy of exponential growth that is completely delusional. Competition is the law of the jungle. Cooperation is the law of civilization.
